A few minor adjustments to submission page
Submissions are going well -- We're only 6 days in and we've gotten more than 80 manuscripts!
After reading a number of submissions, we decided to make a few minor adjustments to the submissions page. we realized we should probably specify we're not looking to republish stories, so we added "new (previously unpublished)" to the page, which hopefully makes that clear.
An author politely asked us if we were accepting simultaneous submissions and, after discussion, we decided we didn't wish to review and select a story only to have someone tell us it had been accepted somewhere else. We aim to accept stories within the month, which doesn't seem an overly long period. (As authors, we know how annoying it is to have a story on submission for months at a time). So we've added a line to request authors not send simultaneous submissions. Before we could edit the page, a different author contacted us to withdraw their manuscript, so we're glad we made the change.
We're still working out our process and will probably move to at least send out rejections sooner, once we get in the groove. Thanks for your patience while we iron out the wrinkles.
We're still having fun!
